Enjoy the unique winter sunrises at Fairchild while photographing Chihuly glass sculptures in the spectacular garden settings. This class will offer you the opportunity to photograph Chihuly’s timeless art in a verdant environment dramatically lit by the rising sun. Participants will receive instruction and demonstrations on photographing glass sculptures using natural light. Mr. Lastra will instruct you in choosing good angles and creating attractive compositions.
This class will help you achieve desirable results by using your light meter and different settings on your camera. This class will focus on visual expression and technical understanding of still life photography techniques. Sturdy tripods and cameras with interchangeable lenses or point and shoot cameras with close-up settings and user-adjustable settings are strongly recommended. You may bring either film or digital cameras. Instruction will be tailored to your individual level, whether beginner or advanced. Only 12 students will be allowed in this class, ages 18 years or older.
