Dining at Fairchild
Every great experience should include great food. Here at Fairchild, we offer award-wining dining options like the Glasshouse Café's delicious tropical fare and panoramic views into the Wings of the Tropics exhibit; the Lakeside Café offers lighter on-the-go options as well as stunning lakeside seating; or, you can bring your own food and enjoy a relaxing picnic. During festivals and events, some of Miami's best food trucks and food vendors offer delicious tropical cuisine. And, throughout the year, we offer high tea and Sunday brunch. We also offer Starbucks coffee and breakfast options at The Shop at Fairchild.

The Glasshouse Café, located adjacent to the Wings of the Tropics exhibit, invites guests to enjoy tropical fare while taking in panoramic views of butterflies and hummingbirds in glorious flight among a garden filled with exotic orchids and tropical plants. Look up to enjoy Dale Chihuly's chandelier to really take the notion of glasshouse to a whole new level! The Glasshouse Café's includes organic and locally grown food including soups, paninis, quiches, hand-crafted sodas, smoothies and desserts. See the menu here. The Glasshouse Café is available for private rentals with seating for up to 250 people.
Overlooking picturesque Pandanus Lake, the Lakeside Café offers delicious casual fare, including sandwiches, salads, cold drinks, coffees, smoothies and desserts. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy the many water birds and turtles or to wait for your Tram Tour.
The Edible Garden, located next to the Whitman Tropical Fruit Pavilion, provides examples of tropical fruit, vegetables, medicinal plants and herbs that can easily grow in the urban landscape. The Edible Garden aims to demonstrate to visitors that any home garden can be converted into a beautiful landscape and productive kitchen garden where one can reap the benefits and enjoyment of eating quality, organically grown food.
The Shop at Fairchild proudly serves Starbucks Coffee, including a full range of espresso beverages, as well as a variety of pastries and snacks, for the enjoyment and convenience of Fairchild visitors. Pick up a cup of Starbucks coffee and savor the tranquility of the Garden. The Shop at Fairchild opens at 7:30 a.m. so stop in on your way to work or after your morning bike ride or run. Teas at Fairchild are a delightful occasion for ladies and gentlemen of all ages. Live music enhances the ambiance of the tea service, which is served at beautifully set tables by delightful Garden volunteers. We want you to stay hydrated. Water fountains are located at the Garden House, Corbin Education Building, Burns Science Village, inside the Glasshouse Cafe, near the picnic area, inside the Arts Center, near the Tram Plaza and inside the Visitor Center. Most water fountains can easily refill water bottles, and we offer complimentary water stations at our various information stations throughout the Garden. Cold drinks are also available in The Shop at Fairchild, the Glasshouse Café and the Lakeside Café.
