“Molding the Future” – Ceramics and Tropical Botany
This hands-on virtual course combines art with science and teaches mold making techniques combined with a botany lesson on native and tropical plants of South Florida. Virtually instructed by local Miami artist Lauren Shapiro and featuring lectures by Fairchild educators, participants will create several molds of botanical textures which may later be used to produce sculptures with clay.
*Through generous funding, teacher workshop materials are included with course registration. Registered teachers material pick up is Wednesday April 7 from 2pm – 6 pm @ Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden South Gate Entrance.
